Today's websites are mostly created using a wide selection of software and development tools like WordPress. Long gone are the days when we sit down and code each and every part of a website. Whilst coding is still an option and a great thing, it is slower to do and increases the price of the website.
Since about 2010 we've been designing and building most of our websites using a Controlled Management System (CMS) called WordPress. CMS platforms are the quicker option, giving the client better value for money.
Platforms like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and Umbraco allow the client access to a control panel and dashboard area to update certain areas of their site. This is more commonly the blog or e-commerce webshop.
