What is Cloud Website Hosting

Website hosting and do you need it for your website?

Every website on the internet is hosted on a server. That server holds all of the files and databases of the website that it requires to work together in order for it to be seen on the internet.

Each time someone visits the website the imagery, text content, videos, theme, colours, and communication forms (to name a few things), all get downloaded to that person’s web browser so that they can use the website for their enquiry or needs.

Think of it like this – it’s a bit like a car has an engine, if the car doesn’t have an engine you cannot drive it.

The same applies to a website – if a website doesn’t have its files and database hosted on an online server it won’t be able to exist on the internet.

The first thing that a website requires to get going is a domain name and a hosting package.

We have multiple shared servers on our cloud-based service, working on the internet 24/7.

Server Types & Locations

We also have the option of different providers based on what the client requires. Some clients will have more traffic and require hosting that accommodates that. Some will be based in USA or wish to target traffic in the US , so we then opt for servers in the USA because it is the right thing to do.

Daily Backups

We also have backup servers – so that if any issues arise the backup servers kick in to help take the strain from the main servers until our technicians apply the fix.

Our service also has daily back-ups of your specific hosting account, so that if any issues arise from your website we can backdate to the previous day.

It’s infrequent that we experience server problems but we have peace of mind knowing our emergency strategy is there.
